When I saw that Google (which has been busy digitizing books) and Amazon (which has been busy selling Kindles) are working together to make e-books accessible on cellphones, I thought, "Ugh! I have a hard enough time making out my text messages. E-books aren't my thing (yet), and you're not going to sell me on them by letting me download them to my phone."
I dunno--maybe it's just me. But reading a novel by cellphone seems almost as crazy as writing a novel on one.

Some people watch TV shows and surf the internet on their cell phones. I just don't get that. How can they read a web page or enjoy a TV program on such a tiny screen? Meanwhile, both desktop and laptop computer monitors are getting bigger and bigger -- which is fine with me. I wouldn't mind trading my 19-incher in for something bigger. Read a book on a cell phone screen? No, thanks!
Ain't it the truth, Sandra? Our computer monitors and hi-def TVs are getting bigger while our portable devices get smaller.
I'd rather watch TV or movies on a big screen than squint at a small one myself.
We used to have one of those teeny TVs--don't ask, weak moment--and we never even watched that.
We have one of those things in our kitchen. We actually do use it.
